Using Evaluative Information Sensibly: The Enduring Contributions of John Mayne

In this concluding article, we take stock of the diverse and stimulating contributions comprising special issue. Using concept mapping, identify eight evaluation themes concepts central to John Mayne’s collective work: utilization, results-based management, organizational learning, accountability, culture, contribution analysis, theory-based evaluation, causation. The overarching story is that John’s work served bridge gaps between practice theory; promote cross-disciplinary synergies across program performance auditing, monitoring; translate in into a cogent system for using evaluative information more sensibly. so doing, left significant institutional academic legacy management.
